Publishers

 

Anne Tezon served as the managing editor of The Hamilton Advocate-Hamiltonian before purchasing the paper in 1985 from longtime publishers Marion and Lorraine Ridings and John Ridings. Anne has a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia's School of Journalism and a master of arts degree from the University of Memphis. In addition to her journalism experience, Anne has done public relations work for the State of Missouri and traveled extensively in Central and South America while in the Peace Corps. Marshall Tezon is a graphic artist with years of pre-press and design work for various companies in Kansas City. He has owned his own graphic arts firm and handled all the travel itineraries for AARP, as well as other major accounts. He has also co-owned a travel agency and taught classes at the Johnson County Community College.

 

Staff

Annie Childs has been the office manager since Feb. of 2005. She handles billing and subscriptions and serves as our receptionist.

 

Debbie Rankin is our Braymer editor. She is involved in several Braymer community activities, especially the annual Braymer Community Fair. She can be contacted at beenews1@greenhills.net

 

Carol Phares, a longtime family and consumer sciences teacher at Polo schools, continues her work as a teacher in the mornings and helps out at the newspaper office in the afternoons with proofreading, typing and advertising sales.
